Salt Works, Marlborough

We're going east for the next few days. Past Blenheim towards Kaikoura on Highway 1 is the salt works. This salt works produces natural sea salt in those ponds, and each pond (different stages) has different colors. Another shot.

There is a new New Zealand DP from beautiful Kapiti Coast. Please have a look.

  3. This is a totally surreal landscape. I'm used to salt flats (salinas) here, on river estuaries, but not like this.
Come on you two, tell me you went on an excursion to Jupiter to take this:).

  8. Thanks Pierre, I did little contrast adjustment on this picture. But… Basically colour is all natural, you would be wowed at site when you are standing front of it.

No worries Shagen, you are one of now growing NZ daily Photo bloger. I must have listed you on side bar as well.

Thank you for visiting us, Victoria. It really real, I did not use any filters or colour alternation, but only the contrast.

Thanks Jazzy, Yes we did enjoy our trip. Now we are back to usual nest. I will show few more pictures from this nearby trip.

Hehe, Lanchezar, I wish I had that power, I guess I’m always lucky to find that kind of sky/cloud formation.

Thank you Lisi, The pond is the main subject on this picture but I could not resist the sky.
