What is that thing coming down the hill, Ben? It looks like bales of hay!
Do they go from the streamlined cars to these - are these the Trolleys?
seems an exciting event!
i was about to as the same, is it to help them stop?
The hay is the barrier, in case the trolley crashed or brake is not working. We are standing far from gold line so welcoming the people just finished their run.
What's funny is when I first saw the bales of hay, I thought they were some weird parade float coming along before the little trolleys. Looks like a fun event.
I love the anticipation stance of the kids in the front.
its an exciting moment. Its like everything stopped for a while. All the eyes (except the guy in red t-shirt on the right) are waiting for the runners:)
