This old style mail box is still used, right across the street from my office. There are still few more of these around, as are even older ones as seen here. The new ones are AWFUL!
mailboxes are much more interesting in New Zealand than in Canada!

Very stately. I like Meg's photos as well ... I sure am glad theme day fell on a weekend this month. During the business work week I would find it hard to get around to this many photos.
I think EVERY country should have a national competition for school children to come up with some nicer mail boxes.
The ones in NYC look like ugly trash cans. Eck!
