There's a wee boat race taking place in ValeNZia (Valencia), Spain, you may have heard of. I'm sufficiently interested in it, but not enough to stay up all night watching it; Meg, not so. Although she's all for the Kiwi boys on the Black Boat, (and there are plenty of Kiwi boys on Alinghi as well), if the Black Boat wins, Louis Vitton and America's Cup races will most likely come back to Auckland, in 2011, which would take the shine off of that more widely-anticipated event, the Rugby World Cup. And yet, she hates to watch the boys loose (and even worse, the defected Kiwis win); these are complicated times for her. The Cup might be decided late tonight. Today is the monthly theme day. Putting a mild spell on the event by spelling properly, eh? ;)
I have no clue about sports these days but hooray anyhow – whoever wins…
Cheers from the summer side of things!
is this a photo of the team shirt?
Woah Ben & Meg! I can see from yesterday's post that you've both had your eye out for a great red shot for today's theme. Your choice is absolutely PERFECT. I love it. Very creative take on our theme. Hope you are both well, and good luck to the NZ crew!
-Kim
Good luck, NZ!
i see so clearly the NZ! haha..
I was expecting Red NZ wool or something :-)
Great post!!
I prefer watching Rugby and hope good luck of NZ!

Go NZ. Best wishes to Meg during the complicated times ... I really like yesterday's photo as well.
clever post!
I got it! :-)
Great spin on the theme Ben. :)
Hello Meg!
Well, I got it too...but I had to read the other posts first, Very clever!
Excellent find!
Great idea - may the best team win and of course it must be New Zealand!
Interesting way to showcase red!
Great idea. Look at that red stand out. Wow.

big hello to both of you!
hope NZ wins, great red shot!
hope you had a great red sunday.
Hem...You just want to make me see red, don't you, Ben? ;-)
Different and clever!
PS.
The logo on this T shirt comes exactly like this. RED letter of NZ. So, Alice, it just like that (thanks fro comment, BTW).
Meg found it on window in town and bought it for me on 29th June, just in time for the theme day. I took same shot as Meg posted yesterday, but she's got better angle.
GO NZ!...I guess a race like that is a fun!
Tres bonne idee pour le theme du mois
Very good idea for the topic of the month
Simple, superb. This theme works out really nicely. Creative choice :)
Good idea! Didn't know about the boat race.
I guess the yesterday photo would suite the theme as well as today one :)
Interesting logo.
Thanks for your visits, everybody.
As of this morning, it's Alinghi 4, Team New Zealand 2. The last race was canceled due to lack of wind. Alinghi needs to win only one more race; Team NZ, 3. The company Louis Vitton might pull out of sponsoring the Louis Vitton Cup, also, I just heard. Goodness!
Never heard of the race but love the t-shirt and text.
I love your original approach to this month's theme!
I really hope it sends good vibes to Team New Zealand...
PS
Apologies for the delay of my comment, your site is the first one I visit as usual, but I have been having trouble commenting on blogger sites lately.
I hope they sort it out!
Cheers!
I like both the DP theme and yesterday's post. nice shots!
a t shirt of a team?
I am so glad for your visit and thank you very much for your commentaries.
I hope I have the opportunity to show, in person, the wonders of Mexico city.

That's a creative approach to the theme - very nice!
This is not an official uniform of the team or some such. But I guess, lots of supporters got this to send a good vibe for the Team NZ.
While letter and red NZ in Black (colour of NZ) and the deliberately misspelling the "Valencia" to "ValeNZa" where the race is held. That is a good Kiwi split, I guess.
The wind seems not so good for Team NZ, but we still have a hope.
PS. I have not changed any colour, letter or anything. The t-shirt is just like this and anyone can get!
Hi Ben,
What a great idea for today's post!
I'm sure most kiwis would be just like Meg, suspended to this nerve-racking match! NZ's torn spinnaker might well have cost them the final victory.
Yesterday's 50% off sale is also a fantastic post - well done Meg!!!
As a Switzerland resident, I'm aware of the race because of Alinghi, though I'm still working to get my mind around my prejudice against a land-locked country participating in a sailing race! I know that the team (syndicate) is actually very international, so it makes sense. Looks like they're doing pretty well... sorry Meg. But, they're still mostly Kiwi, so you should be happy, no?
Thanks, Nathaline, Z.
Unfortunately, Team NZ lost in very little margin on last race. So, it wont be come to Auckland in next time.
However, our government committed to support financially again. (Which, I don't understand because that is basically the Auckland based Club Team in my opinion. - The team clew must be selected from NZ wide, if it is the national team.)
