December Theme Day: Bridge
Where is it? There is used to be a bridge that a car can cross to other side. The upgrading process is still on going. What we can see here is the cables that used to be hidden under the bridge.
PS.
This picture shows this bridge in distance before taken down for update.
Today is Theme Day. Other DP Blogs have also posted "Bridge" shots. Please click on the link below to view them.

36 Mates:
My first thought was The Ghost and the Darkness movie, staring Michael Douglas, which was all about the construction of a bridge in Uganda.
Hard to imagine this is an upgrade but we'll have to hope for the best. Lovely sunlight. Is this a favorite bridge?
we shall wait a few more months and i am sure you will post here the completed bridge ;-)
Happy Theme Day!
Happy Theme Day!
It looks like a very simple little bridge, but I'm sure it is a big job and not easy to upgrade. G'day mate.
Can't wait to see the completed bridge!
Very nice photo. After seeing so many bridges today, your photo gives me an appreciation for the immense thought and effort put into building a bridge.
This construction makes for an interesting post.
16 Ghosts on Bridge
Hello Meg and Ben, This is indeed an unusual post for theme day. It requires a bit of imagination to visualize the bridge. Please post the finished product later.
Can't see it now, but I'm sure it will look great once they finish it. Happy theme day.
It's a bridge skeleton! ;) Looks like alot of work goes into building, and renovating bridges.
What a cool shot. Who knew what the inside of a bridge looked like?
Looks busy. Is it a bridge much used?

I had the same thought as Denton!! Interesting!
How are people getting across right now?
fascinating - you'll have to do the after shot now
Hope the upgrade is worth it. Good photo.
What a mess! Hope there are alternative routes ;-)
Every bridge is an engineering feat. i am reminded of my late Sicialian grandma-in-law who once said that if life were different she would have loved to have been a bridge engineer!
You asked if I had a bridge in my entry for Dec. 1. And I did not. I've never joined in the First Of The Month Theme Photo.
I thought it was optional.
I thought one's blog link was only shown with other Theme entries, if you "joined in."
I'm sorry if I was wrong. I'm sorry if we _have_ to do the Theme Picture.

Smilnsigh, my answer is on your blog.
I'm sure we will post a complete picture when it's completed. Rather slow pace in here. They had to take all down and rebuild new one, but need to keep those communication lines alive.
The road following this is called Bridge Street, and this was a very small but relatively good used bridge.
We have few more in not so apart. So, people can detour very easily.
Nice to see new bridges being built.
Nice take on the theme. The construction of a bridge!
Interesting choice.I looks like a big job.
Funny how a missing bridge can cause issues if you use it daily. I have one missing in my daily drive and it's painful not having it.

ah, good concept, a not-a-bridge-for-now !! Or "normal transmission will be resumed shortly"
I don't know if I would cross the river ont this bridge.
Good idea to show it with this nice angle
Very interesting, the process of construction. Great angle. Happy Theme day.
Thanks, all!
What left in here is very narrow part (temporary, I believe) for the cables and so on.
The city council is planing to build new two lane bridge which is upgrade from old one.
Bridges are made to bring people together, it's always a fantastic process.
Happy DP Theme !
Cheers, PaB.
Interesting to see how this was put together...or, taken a part for reconstruction.
Great photo! Definitely looks different now that it is under construction.
Thanks for visiting my NorthBayPhoto blog. And to answer your question, "yes" that is snow in my bridge photo -- we won't see any grass now until March (or possibly April).
Interesting point of view ... looks like a lot of work to update the bridge.
Thanks, All!
