Tauhou, The Silver–Eye

About this bird. They come in family, or could be a whole village, come to my fig tree for feast, every year. I just snapped from my home office with long lens. (B&W)

Well as a secret twitcher(twit most day) for me this is a real find. Never seen one before, won't here. What a beauty and what a capture form a distance.

Beautiful! The diffused shades of green from the fig tree really enhances and compliments the colours on the bird. I miss these little guys, which I saw mostly when I was a youngster in the Hutt Valley (we lived near the bush). Perfect spur of the moment shot! Lesley Expat Kiwi

Perfect capture Ben. How nice that you share your figs with them.
